Med. Acrylic sheet offcuts, vintage toy, letterset text, vintage paper
Size W24cm. x H16cm. x D2cm
I wanted to explore what happens when transparent acrylic forms are layered over one another — how each shape changes as it meets the next, and how much can be seen through the layers.
Using acrylic sheet off-cuts, I built the sculpture from a series of abstract forms, experimenting with transparency, opacity, colour and overlapping shapes. Vintage letterset text, vibrant colour and varied textures are incorporated into the layers, creating a sense of depth and movement as the eye travels through the work.
The piece was created using mixed media and found acrylic off-cuts, allowing the materials themselves to become part of the visual language of the sculpture.
The artwork can be displayed flat or leaning against a shelf. It could also be hung on a wall by adding Velcro dots to the back
• Original artwork. Secure checkout. Tracked shipping from Australia.
• Certificate of authenticity included
• Carefully packed and shipped worldwide
