The Artists Journey

I've been on my artistic journey for well over 30 years now and it's been quite a ride! I am constantly amazed by the evolution of my art and the depth of my journey and couldn't be more thrilled to have recently received my collection of published art books in the post.

They are a culmination of all my art blog writings, photographs, projects, creative ideas and arts business information from around 2000 to 2023. There are 4 volumes and each book has over 200 pages of text and photographs.

Each representing a different phase of my creative explorations and navigations through the business side of an arts practice. I can't wait to share some of this journey with you.

Jenny Davis

Jenny Davis is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. Over a practice spanning almost four decades, she has worked across painting, sculpture, textiles, artist books, collage, assemblage, photography, video, and installation. Grounded in abstraction, her work explores memory, place, inheritance, and material histories through intuitive, process-led methods of making.

Using paint, found objects, salvaged materials, antique textiles, and weathered surfaces, Davis investigates the traces left by people, places, and time. Through acts of layering, excavation, repair, and reconstruction, her work considers how histories persist, shift, and find new forms of expression.
